Misabel yellow Moomin bowl with the character Misabel. The motifs on Misabel are based on the 1956 cartoon Mumintroll comic strip where Misabel gets a job as a housemaid with the Moomin family. Misabel, also known as Misabel, is an anxious creature with a neurotic cleaning behaviour. The insecure and melancholy Misabel is easily affected by the smallest things, but with Snorkmaiden's help, she and her dog Sorry-oo find joy in life.
On one side of the bowl, we see Misabel washing dishes. Moominmamma tells Misabel that she always washes dishes with rainwater. Misabel looks at the huge pile of dishes and notes that it hasn't rained for a long time. On the other side of the bowl, we see Misabel washing rag rugs, and Moominmamma explains that she usually rinses them by swimming with them.
The yellow Misabel Moomin bowl is designed by Tove Slotte based on Tove Jansson's original drawings and belongs to Arabia's Moomin Classics collection.
Mugs, bowls, and plates with Moomin motifs are popular collector's items that are often combined with each other and with other Moomin porcelain from Arabia.
