The endearing stories by the children's book author and illustrator Elsa Beskow have been interpreted by Catharina Kippel. Catharina has selected visual quotations from the original illustrations and reworked Elsa's images into patterns. The charming Uncle Blue mug with handle from Design House Stockholm is inspired by Elsa´s own uncle and is one of the main characters in her stories together with the three aunts.
