The Flow 3 from Formgatan is a gorgeous vase that has been sustainably crafted from recycled glass. Designed by Matias Moellenbach, the vase is an environmentally friendly interior detail in nearly every respect: recycled glass not only repurposes used materials, it also melts at a lower temperature than newly-produced glass to produce significantly fewer carbon emissions. The rough-hewn surface and organic structure of the vase was inspired by the majestic movements of the sea — it captures everything from the graceful movements of tiny ripples to the potent posture of powerful waves. The mouth-blown glass body also features elegant grooves across the surface that have been etched into the piece by hand.
