1972 ceiling lamp Ø60 cm from Gubi is part of the Tynell series and is a ceiling pendant with a conical bamboo shade that spreads a pleasant light in the room. The shade is made of narrow pieces of bamboo wood that are hand-stitched together and then attached to the frame. The fine brass detail at the bottom of the shade adds a little extra character to the otherwise simple shape. The original was made of Finnish aspen wood but has in this new production been replaced by bamboo because it has the same quality, strength, and flexibility but a more sustainable production.
