The Kastehelmi jar large from Iittala is a perfect storage container for holding small items and various foodstuffs. The jar itself is made of glass and comes with a lid in plastic. Originally designed by Oiva Toikka, the Kastehelmi collection is one of Iittala's most iconic series — the first pieces were created as early as 1964. The inspiration behind the collection came when Oiva Toikka tried to find a way to conceal some of the imperfections that arose in production — the result was a series of glassware brimming with small glass beads reminiscent of graceful dew drops.
