The Gro flowerpot is a gorgeous, handmade planter in stoneware. The flowerpot was originally designed by ceramicist Christian Bruun for the Danish brand Kähler. Its geometric structure was inspired by the concave pattern and tactile texture of beeswax. The exterior of the pot bears a rougher consistency that was meticulously created using a diluted clay containing coarsely granulated clay. The clay was fired using a special technique that results in the pot’s eminently distinguished appearance. The remarkable artistry behind each pot renders every single specimen entirely unique — depending on the pot’s placement in the large, wood-burning stove, each piece acquires its very own distinctive finish. This sturdy and durable planter is frost-proof, ensuring it can be used both indoors and outside. If used outside, it should be placed underneath a cover as there are no holes on the bottom of the pot to drain excess water. The Gro flowerpot is available in a variety of sizes making it the perfect planter for all sorts of greenery, everything from delicate herbs to larger house plants. Plus, thanks to the specially applied glaze, the pot is completely waterproof.
