The story behind LIND DNA

LIND DNA was established in 2013 by the Danish designer Preben Lind with the vision of creating sustainable products made from recycled leather.

Their first design was the well-known curve placemat, and its shape has been the inspiration of many new products since, such as their tableware and furniture.

Today, the Danish brand creates products that are sold all over the world with recycled leather at the heart of their designs.

What are the benefits of recycled leather table mats?

Recycled leather is not only particularly environmentally friendly, but also has excellent properties. For example, it is water-resistant, heat-resistant, durable and easy to clean.

Caring for your LIND DNA placemats

Since LIND DNA’s table mats are made from leather, there are several things to keep in mind to ensure that they remain in good condition.

Certain spices such as curry, saffron, paprika or chilli can cause stains on the lighter variants of the place mats unless they are removed quickly.

LIND DNA placemats should not be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time as this may affect the structure of the leather.

They can withstand temperatures of up to 60 degrees Celsius.

If your placemats get dirty, use a damp cloth to wipe them clean.

How does LIND DNA work with sustainability and social responsibility?

LIND DNA are actively working on creating products in a way that is respectful to the environment and to humans.

The leather used in their products is OEKO-TEX certified recycled leather made from the excess leather from the fashion and furniture industry. The leather is granulated and pressed with natural tree rubber to create a high-quality durable and water-resistant material.

In addition, LIND DNA’s products are designed and packed locally in Aarhus Denmark, which reduces transportation.
