The Story of LoCa

LoCa was founded in 1992 by the engineer Thorkild Lundsgaard. It all started with renovating the daughter’s room and looking for chic, practical coat hangers. Unable to find a suitable hanger anywhere, Thorkild took matters into his own hands and assembled his own in his garage. A few years later, he contacted the designer Harrit & Sørensen, who helped him developed the hook rack, which was later named Knax after the special "knocking" sound made when the hooks are folded up.The Knax coat racks by LoCa – practical accessories for the hallway

The Knax coat rack is still one of LoCa’s absolute bestsellers today. Each piece of wood is carefully selected, and all coat hooks are made in Denmark to ensure good quality.

What materials are the Knax coat racks made of?

The Knax hangers are made of fine wood from all over the world. The wood is purchased from recognised timber suppliers, and it is then transported to the Danish Island of Falster where it is dried and processed. It is then delivered to the production house in Haslev, Denmark where it is transformed into the final products.

The Knax hangers are available in several types of wood, including Beech, oak and walnut, among others.
