The Sukat Makkaralla pitcher was desigedn by Anu Penttinen for the Finnish brand Marimekko. Marimekko is known for giving their products and ranges Finnish names. And even though they may be difficult to pronounce, they give us insight on where inspiration for the design was taken from. Suukat Makkaralla, for instance, roughly translated to bunched socks. The pitcher is made of mouth-blown glass and is great in combination with glasses from the same range.
