The Unikko fabric cotton-linen from Marimekko fits well into the timeless Scandinavian home. The Unikko pattern was designed by Maija & Kristina Isola and came about in 1964 after Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia had issued a ban on floral patterns. Maija Isola, however, managed to persuade her with her delightful poppies and Unikko went into production. Since then, it has become somewhat of a signature pattern for Marimekko. The fabric by the metre can be used for curtains, cushion covers, tablecloths, pot holders, or bags. Only your imagination sets the limit for what you can create from this beautiful fabric in a quality cotton and linen blend.
