The Unikko oilcloth by Marimekko becomes a colourful base to the table setting, no matter of the season. Unikko is timeless and the lovely poppy flowers suits perfect wheter it's summer or winter. The pattern was designed by Maija Isola back in 1964 after the founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, proclaimed a ban on flowers in Marimekko prints. But Unikko was so fresh and unique that it convinced Armi Ratia to take it in production. And as we all know, it became a success!
