Can RICE melamine products be cleaned in the dishwasher?

Yes! RICE melamine products can be cleaned in the dishwasher up to 70 degrees but should not be used in the microwave.

How does RICE work with sustainability?

Since the Nordic company RICE was founded in 1998, it has been important to the founders Charlotte and Philippe Guéniau that the production is carried out in a responsible and ethical manner, respecting workers and their rights. As part of this approach, they have helped run several charity projects in vulnerable areas around the world.

The Story behind RICE

The Danish brand RICE was founded in 1998 by Charlotte and Philippe Guéniau. At first the brand mainly sold the still popular Rafia storage baskets in Copenhagen, which was a great success. The RICE range was soon expanded to include the famous melamine mugs and other tableware products and home accessories.

Today, RICE also sells its popular melamine products outside of Denmark. RICE’s colourful products are now available in around 45 countries around the world.

RICE melamine is made of a high quality, ensuring that it will last for a long time. The melamine products are light and durable which makes it ideal for picnics, parties and children’s tableware.

RICE melamine is approved by DVFA and tested food safe. It is also free of bisphenol A and phthalates.

Did you know?

A RICE Café was opened in the city of Odense in Denmark in 2014. The café is called Ricetaria and is a combination of a shop and café. The Ricetaria is now represented in several European cities.
