Solstickan Design is operated by the company Tradingbox AB. Swedish Match Industries AB owns the Solstickan brand, and there is an exclusive licensing agreement between these companies. This license allows Tradingbox AB the authority to produce, reproduce, market, and sell goods under the Solstickan brand within Swedish trade.

A portion of the proceeds from sales goes to the Solstickan Foundation, which aims to assist children and elderly people in society.

What is the history behind the Solstickan Boy?

The Solstickan Boy was created by the artist Einar Nerman, who was commissioned to design the label for the matchbox. Today, the symbol is one of Sweden’s most well-known and most reproduced artworks.
