Voluspa was founded in California in 1999 by entrepreneurs and artisans Traci and Troy Arntsen. Traci’s interest in botany and essential oils combined with her passion for fragrance was the basis for Voluspa to start producing their own fragrance, while Troy’s passion for travel and business has made Voluspa one of the world’s leading brands of luxury scented candles and diffusers.
Voluspa presents a wide range of fragrant glass candles, tin candles and diffusers. Some of the most popular fragrances include:
The name Voluspa comes from an Old Norse poem about how the world was created from chaos. The founders Traci and Troy Arntsen believe that beautiful things are born out of great passion, hence the name of the company Voluspa.
Beautiful fragrances, reusable containers and perfectly produced candles describes the Voluspa brand at best.
Their range offers meticulously handcrafted scented candles and diffusers with a range of rare, exotic scents packed in an elegant and chic way. Voluspa has never sold a candle that they have not made themselves, something that they are very proud of.
In addition to their own production of candles and scent diffusers, the development of their fragrances is well thought-out and of course developed in-house. Voluspa produces its own scents and works with rare ingredients that are selectively purchased world-wide. Each ingredient contributes to an exclusive scent which gives their home-made candles an exquisite quality.
In recent years, Voluspa has engaged in research and development, which has led them to being today one of the first companies to use a coconut wax mixture in their candles.
The self-developed process begins with cold-pressed coconut oil from fresh fruit. The oil is then converted to coconut wax by hydrogenation. The coconut wax mixtures mean that the candles do not soot, provided you take care of them according to the care instructions. The candles are filled with as many fragrances as the candle mass can handle, which helps the candles to maintain their scent from start to finish.
Voluspa guarantees that all their candles are eco-friendly and sustainably made with no pesticides and parabens. Their candles also contain 100% natual wicks.
Voluspa candles are far too beautiful not to use once the wax has burned out. In fact, from the beginning, it has been Voluspa’s idea that the container should be reusable. When the candle has burned out, you can use the container, for example, as a tea light holder, a storage jar for pens or make-up brushes, or even as a small vase.
Let the candle burn long enough so that the entire top layer of wax becomes liquid – this may take a few hours. Then when you extinguish the flame, the surface will solidify evenly. If the candle goes out before the entire top layer has become liquid, then the wax will be uneven as it solidifies.
Trim the wick to 0.6 mm before each use. This prevents soot and fluttering flames and extends the burning time of the candle.
