Anders Pehrson was a skilled designer, PR and business man who combined function, colour and family living to put Ateljé Lyktan on the world map.
When Anders Pehrsson took over Ateljé Lyktan in 1964, he started the journey towards a more industrial and large-scale production. By cherry picking the most popular designs, he started mass production of the most versatile lamp models and consequently saved Ateljé Lyktan’s future. A few years later saw the even bigger success of the lighting range Bumlingen.
The Bumlingen lamp was launched at the lighting fair in Gothenburg in 1968 and became an immediate hit both in Sweden and abroad. Today the Bumlingen is produced in a factory in Åhus, Sweden and its timeless design looks arguably more impressive today than it did in the 1970’s kitchen.
