Lundgren & Strandberg

The story behind the Elflugan began with a cup of coffee and a quick idea outline on a piece of paper. Marie Lundgren-Carlgren and Kina Strandberg were the friends who became a famous designer duo and creators of one of our most beloved candle holders.
Before launching "the Elflugan project" Marie Lundgren-Carlgren worked as a graphic designer and Kina Strandberg as an economist in an advertising industry. They were both interested in design and decided to start a project together. They started the project by writing a list of products that people need but are usually ugly. At the top of the list came the candlestick and so they took on the challenge to create a modern version with many small candles placed on one plate.

Three years later, Elflugan was born. Today, two decades later, Elflugan has sold over 90,000 copies and is a loved household piece.
