TAF

Mattias Ståhlbom and Gabriella Gustafsson founded TAF architects in 2002 after they both studied interior and furniture design at the College of Arts in Stockholm. Since then, TAF architects has expanded and become an international name with a well-stocked portfolio containing both decorative details, furniture and lamps.

The studio lies in an old bakery, which is not only a fun anecdote but it also fulfils a function. TAF architects usually compare themselves with the bakery, particularly the baking of bread. Their designs should not be seen as superfluous but as something integrated in society that everyone needs, just like a loaf of bread. Their goal is to make everyday life a little more special by allowing ordinary objects to stand out. Most often with the help of a thoughtful, humorous design and material of outstanding quality.
