FALL IN LOVE WITH KOSTA BODA ALL OVER AGAIN

Say the name "Kosta Boda" to any Scandinavian and there is a good chance that they will associate the brand with graduation gifts, a visit to the glassworks or perhaps a favourite candle holder on the mantelpiece. Kosta Boda is the southern Swedish glassworks that took the international design scene by storm. Few design brands have had the fortune to find themselves in generations of homes like Kosta Boda has. The long-standing glass tradition the brand stands for is widely known, as are their colourful and eye-catching products. With Kosta Boda we find design that perfectly balances artistic design language with the functionality of everyday life.

Kosta Boda 2.0 is here – and we love it.

MODERN GLASS DESIGN FOR THE CREATIVE HOME

As a pillar of Scandinavian design, Kosta Boda's design language is significantly more expressive than the norm. Crackle, Rocky Baroque, All about you – the iconic designs from Kosta Boda all have an undertone of rebellious artistry.

Forget about fitting in, Kosta Boda offers statement pieces that are just as eye-catching on their own as they are combined.

4 SERIES’ YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS

One of the secrets to Kosta Boda's success is their portfolio of design collaborations with names such as Åsa Jungnelius, Hanna Hansdotter and Bertil Vallien. With the help of prominent designers and artists, Kosta Boda has shown that together is better and here the creative freedom can flow. And there are three series’ that really stand out.

There is a new side to Kosta Boda ready to be explored, rediscovered and fallen in love with all over again.

CHÂTEAU

Truly representative of Kosta Boda's craftsmanship, first designed in 1981 by sculptor and designer Bertil Vallien, Château is now one of Kosta Boda’s most iconic glass series. The handmade glasses elegant pattern and twisted shape catches the light, illuminating everyday life and just so happens to be one of the world’s bestselling glassware sets.

THE ROCK

The Rock is the name of the series designed by Hanna Hansdotter as a tribute to Anna Wolff's iconic classic Snowball from Kosta Boda. The familiar, irregular surface is reused while The Rock is a work of art in its own right. The lantern comes in several colours and when grouped together the coloured glass and the dramatic silhouette creates something very special.

ROCKY BAROQUE

"I like to be at the intersection between the brutal and the decorative," said Hanna Hansdotter at the launch of the Rocky Baroque series. A series that perhaps best expresses rebellious artistry while playing with the interpretation of classical pillars. Rocky Baroque is a cheeky statement piece and an eye-catching detail in your home if you are looking for something that challenges the norm.

CRACKLE

Sometimes the most exciting things can arise in unexpected places. Cracked glass may be a glass master's worst nightmare, but Kosta Boda and designer Åsa Jungnelius saw beauty in imperfection. Crackle Circular, which is part of the series, is created from recycled waste glass from other productions from Kosta and is made using traditional craft techniques where the hot glass is dipped in cold water, which gives the distinctive cracked surface. In 2023, Crackle also won the prestigious design prize the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category "Best of the Best".

The combination of Kosta Boda's experience in glass and the vision of a designer like Åsa Jungnelius is one of the factors the drives Kosta Boda's success on the Scandinavian design scene. When tradition meets progressive creativity, the result, in Kosta Boda's case, is design that speaks to generations.

Snowball, Polar & Pagod - which is your favourite?

"Three centuries of bold and creative glassmaking in the forests of Southern Sweden", is what Kosta Boda has to say about themselves. Bold and creative, those are the words that live on with the brand that has been with us through many milestones in life.

It is design that radiates creativity and that challenges us all to dare to use colour and sculptural details in our homes. Coloured glass is once again welcomed into our homes in connection with interior design trends, and Kosta Boda shows that innovative glass design can easily have one foot on a timeless design language while the other keeps up with the contemporary trends.
