1. INVEST IN LUXURIOUS BED LINEN

The first thing we usually assess when we step inside the doors of a hotel room is the bed. The large hotel pillows and luxurious bedding invite you to relax. Recreate that feeling with high-quality bedding in crisp white. Textile favourite Lexington has a series called Hotel Collection, where you will find both duvet covers in the softest cotton and luxurious towels, perfect for the ensuite!

2. MAKE THE BED WITH A BEDSPREAD

Is there anything more lovely than a freshly made bed to create a real hotel feeling in the bedroom? Once you have the bed linen in place, it's time for a beautiful bedspread that brings the whole thing together. The Moss and Kimono bedspreads from Scandi Living are some of our favourites that are sure make your bedroom feel extra cosy and elegant.

3. INVEST IN GOOD LIGHTING

A variety of functional and atmospheric lightingis essential when it comes to decorating a bedroom. If you want to create a hotel style bedroom, then you should invest in elegant wall lamps and an eye-catching, atmospheric ceiling lamp.

4. DECORATE WITH THROWS & DECORATIVE PILLOWS

Once the bed is made you can use throws and cushions to enhance the luxury hotel feeling in the bedroom. An elegant wool or cotton throw can be folded over a chair, while a few nice pillows in the bed and in the armchair add the finishing touches.

5. FURNISH WITH A SOFT RUG

A luxurious rug will really help to create that hotel style bedroom. If you want something that gives your bedroom a hotel feeling and is easy to decorate with, be sure invest in a wool rug. Wool rugs are easy to care for and are soft enough to really sink your feet into you wake up in the morning.

6. HANG CURTAINS

You know that feeling of waking up slowly in your hotel bed, the sun shining through the window and knowing your day ahead contains nothing but excitement? Experience this feeling at home with long, luxurious curtains that drape around your windows and bring a fantastic freshness to your bedroom. The Serenity and Tranquility collections from Scandi Living are ideal, and will create a cosy, easy atmosphere in your bedroom.

7. DON'T FORGET THE MIRROR

A good hotel room always has a mirror. Partly because it is practical, partly it helps you create space in the room. Invest in a floor mirror or larger wall mirror, perfect for helping you create a hotel style bedroom and perfect for creating the illusion of space if you have a smaller bedroom.

Decorate your hotel style bedroom with a large wall mirror like this stylish mirror from Menu for a luxury hotel feeling at home.

A good hotel room has a good mirror, so don't forget to add one to your hotel style room.

8. FURNISH WITH A SIDE TABLE

If you don't already have a bedside table, now it's time to invest in one to create a real hotel style bedroom. Bedside tables are the perfect place to take off your jewellery, decorate with a small sculpture but also provide a little extra storage.
