Oilcloth

Oilcloth fabrics are are fabrics commonly made from cotton or linen that are treated with a coating, typically of acrylic. This coating makes the fabric water resistant and easy to clean. Most of these are sold by the meter, but some come in set sizes. Oilcloth serves as great tablecloths for both indoor and outdoor use!

How much fabric do I need?

How much fabric you need for your project depends of course on what you intend to do. If you want to make some simple panel curtains you will have to take some measurements to get your desired length, whereas cushion covers can have more standardised sizes, but depending on how you make them you will need different amounts of fabric. Make sure to always order the correct amount of fabric, and remember that it is better to have a bit of extra length rather than getting fabric that is too short for what you want to make.
