What size should a tablecloth be?

Tablecloths come in many different shapes and sizes, and our extensive collection of textiles includes textiles suitable for all occasions and table sizes. Whether you are looking for a large tablecloth for the dining room table, or perhaps a small tablecloth for a kitchen table that is not as big, you will find a wide variety to choose from in our collection. 

How big your tablecloth should be will of course depend on both the shape and the size of your table. A tablecloth should be the size of your table plus double your desired drop length for both the measured width and length.

What is drop length and how much do you need?  

The drop length or overhang of the tablecloth will determine how big your tablecloth is. The drop length of a tablecloth for a normal dining table is usually at least 15 cm, as any smaller would make the tablecloth look too small for the table. You can of course have the overhang any length you want, and some restaurant even have their tablecloths hanging all the way to the floor.

The shape of the tablecloth

Tablecloth come in different shapes, and the shape you need will depend on the table you want to use your tablecloth for. Round tablecloths are of course perfectly suited for round table, but not for square or rectangular ones. However, square tablecloths can be used for both round and square tables.
