The design on one side of the bowl shows Snorkmaiden trying on a bikini for the first time. On the other side of the bowl, we see Snorkmaiden attempting to find a suitable spot on her nose to apply the lipstick she acquired on the trip. The story depicts how Snorkmaiden combines femininity and vanity with courage and resourcefulness.
