The Sunnuntai plate from the Finnish brand Arabia was designed by Birger Kaipainen in 1971. "Sunnuntai" is Finnish for "Sunday", a fitting name for the plate as it evokes sunny thoughts of a bright Sunday afternoon with its timeless yellow pattern. The plate is part of a series full of pieces with similar shapes and designs, a collection that shares an aesthetic with another tableware series from Arabia, Parariisi.
