NM& Undaglass 2-pack from Design House Stockholm is a practical all-purpose glass developed in conjunction with the reopening of the Nationalmuseum and the NM& restaurant. When planning the premises and the service, there was a need for a generous and stackable glass that could handle many different uses. It had to be simple but also have its own character, and preferably contribute to renewing the Scandinavian design tradition, says designer Matti Klenell. A lot of time was spent finding the right shape and feel in the glass, the classic shape has been embellished with a ripple on the side which makes it both comfortable for the hand and at the same time allows practical stacking as the glasses never get stuck together. The exciting shape with the beautiful wave in the middle of the glass is both decorative and practical as it allows the glasses to stack without getting stuck to each other. This detail also gave the glass its name as Unda means wave in Latin.
