Cork bowl M 29 cm from the Swedish brand Formgatan is a large cork bowl made from high-quality Portuguese cork oak. Because cork is a natural material, each bowl has a completely unique look. Cork is not only a beautiful material, it's also good for the environment. After the cork has been harvested, it takes about nine years for the tree to regenerate the cork. During this period, the tree absorbs 3-5 times more carbon dioxide than a tree whose cork hasn't been harvested. The advantage is that more trees don't have to be cut down to harvest the cork: instead, they keep on growing and regenerate new material while simultaneously lowering the CO2 levels in the air.
