The 1965 pendant from Gubi was designed by Paavo Tynell in 1948 to decorate The Finland House in New York, one of the most ambitious and widely successful projects of all time that sought to spread the iconic elegance of classic Finnish design. The lamp features a shade made of metal that has been fashioned into the perforated triangle pattern made famous by Tynell, a design that would return in many of his later lamps. The disc underneath the frosted glass gently radiates the light throughout the room without over-dazzling, making sure to spread an even and pleasant shine anywhere you place it. Light source not included.
