Seireeni fabric cotton-linen from Marimekko is made from a blend of cotton and linen and features an undulating graphic pattern in three colours. Maija Isola, who designed the pattern, was inspired by water movements when she travelled in Greece in the early 1960s. The fabric, which was designed in 1964, can be used for cushion covers, curtains, aprons, and tablecloths – only your imagination sets the limits! The name Seireeni comes from the sirens, beings in Greek mythology who lured sailors by singing enchanting songs to them.
