Since its establishment in 1982, Montana Furniture has catered to generations with furniture and storage modules that offer great adaptability to meet the needs and personal expressions of every individual. The design furniture is locally manufactured in Denmark, in the small town of Hårby on the island of Fyn, to guarantee you Danish design of the highest quality. 

What is Montana's ambition? 

Montana Furniture is based on founder Peter J. Lassen's philosophy that each of us has a need for freedom and an inherent desire to create our own personal spaces. Who founded Montana?  

Having worked in the Danish navy, Peter J. Lassen changed course and ventured into the furniture industry in the 1950s, where he worked for his father-in-law Fritz Hansen's company for several years, eventually becoming CEO. Lassen collaborated with Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton, whose influences can be seen in his clean and minimalist design style. In 1982, Peter J. Lassen chose to go his own way once again and founded Montana, which is now led by his youngest son, Joakim Lassen.

How does Montana work with environmental consciousness?  

Montana strives to live by Joakim Lassen's belief that companies are one of the strongest driving forces in making the world a better place. In 2019, Montana received the EU Ecolabel certification, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of production companies throughout the product's entire life cycle, promoting the well-being of people, the environment, and the planet's resources.
