The gorgeous String Pocket wall shelf adds a stylish and colourful storage area to your home. The String Pocket's larger brother, the classic String wall shelf, was designed by Nils "Nisse" Strinning in 1949. It entered production shortly after it won first prize in a bookshelf competition held by the Bonnier library. The shelf has the same signature racks as the "Elfa" drying rack, a design that Nisse Strinning had created a few years prior and would later use as the inspiration for the String. Today the String shelf is an iconic element of Scandinavian design. This smaller "Pocket" version of the shelf was first launched in 2005 and is available today in a variety of colours and materials. Like the other String series of shelving, you can build up several smaller sections into one larger shelf system if you so desire.
