Caryngo arm chair from Swedese was designed in 1955 by two of the era's greatest furniture creators; Carl Malmsten and Yngve Ekström. The name Caryngo itself is a combination of the two designers' first names, just as the arm chair is a combination of their different design philosophies. The Caryngo arm chair is thus the result of an unusual collaboration where Malmsten drew the basic design and Ekström handled the detailing. Caryngo has a classic combination of materials with its oak frame and saddle leather seat from Tärnsjö.
